Went camping with a buddy named Andre. We set up camp on Myles Standish State Forest by Fearing Pond. Busted out the kayaks and fishing gear, and to my surprise Andre hadn't experienced either one. A quick run down on kayaking and a few fishing tips did enough to give him the confidence to get out on the water. Beginners luck...he began catchin bass within the first 20min, although I was in disbelief I was relieved that he caught 'em. Combined, we caught about 2 dozen bass in a 4hr stretch, but nothing bigger than 2lbs. All catch and release for everyone to enjoy. I set out to enjoy a good weekend outdoors and in-turn had a great time showing a friend a fun sport.

Kevin and I went out to Neponset Reservoir bright and early. Weather was great, water was a bit stained, heavy with vegetation, but fairly calm. Kevin got off to a good start landing a Bass on the shoreline across the dam. I had several bites but couldn't get any good hook-sets. We moved along the islands, Kevin kept catching 'em, along with the other fish species there. We made our way across to the south eastern section of the reservoir where there's a cluster of submerged tree stumps. We both made out well there. Kevin fished much of the prime real-estate (shorelines), while I stuck to the open water. We made out with 14 LMB (Kevin 9 & I 5), 3 Pickerels, and 2 Sunfish.

Sharing some compiled fishing trips between my father and my son. Both have grown to enjoy the sport/recreation in these past few years. My son got my dad into it about 2yrs ago, since then I've had the pleasure of hearing them squabble about who caused who to lose their catch and/or who caught the biggest or most fish, hahaha.......! They both prefer their spin cast rod and reel with an assortment of artificial lures from hard to soft plastics ranging from top water to spinner baits. From hiking through the woods to get to any body of water to getting out on the canoe, they are living in the moment! Catching and losing as many fish species on each excursion they go on. Creating some of the best memories any kid can ask for, enjoy!

Unplanned trip, went out to the local lake and found a decent submerged rock to stand on and throw a couple casts in the early afternoon. Targeted the shaded areas using a slow retrieve that produced a couple good ones within an hour. Ended up landing 3 LMB, about 2lb each. Surprisingly, I caught a couple the day before in the same general area of the lake.

Went out today with the sole purpose that my son catch his first Largemouth Bass on artificial lures. Our destination took us to Massasoit State Park, where we fished in inclement weather at Big Bearhole Pond and turned up with no success after a while. Then we crossed the road over to Middle Pond (on the southwest side) and that's where he landed a nice 2lb Bass with a watermelon colored Senko worm. Shortly after he landed two more around the 1lb size. This trip turned out to be a complete success regardless of the rain!

Went out to Lake Rico on the east end and caught nothing, until I ran into another angler, Marcos aka inkslinger, and we went over to the west end of the lake (near the dam) and I caught a decent largemouth bass with a 2in. light colored grub (texas rigged). Catch and release!

Fishing at Sebatia Lake wasn't what I expected. I have tried various techniques with various lures at this lake (offshore) and haven't yet caught anything big.

Myself and several military friends went fishing on Toledo Bend during various times of the season in 2006-2008. We caught various types of Bass. 3 4-6LB Stripped Bass caught on the southern end of Toledo Bend (by the Dam) with top water bait using the "walk the dog" technique in the early mornings. 6 5-6LB Largemouth bass caught with various tackle, crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and plastic frogs. Great fishing on most of the inlets, but best hotspots are around the Texas or Louisiana Islands.
