Took the canoe out on the charles for a few hours to do some product testing for Whiskey River Baits. Day started off slow tossing a salon girl into the brush and down trees with no luck. Switched over to a texas rigged Bullhead Tube (clear water killer color) and the day started half a dozen largemouth. Switched it up to try out some of the 5" hoss stick baits and back at it with the fish. The colors of the day were cerveza and saquaro red, man they were good and held up nice. Ended the day tossing a boag hog camo brush jig with a WR vaquero craw as the trailer. It was like tossing candy to a group of kids. The jig would barely hit the water and it would take off. Awesome day 36 fish in total and a ton of fun testing out for Whiskey River Baits.

Made a quick stop Saturday with my son to the woerd ave boat ramp. Lots of pads up and tons of boats in and out while we were there for an hour and a half. 2 small dinks for me tossing a frog over the pads. Little man had a dozen or so Bream and a few sunfish. Next time will take the canoe our to see how the rest of the area is.

Had an hour to kill so figured I would stop by Houghtons see if any trout are left. Wind was rough but had a nice small largemouth off a rapala minnow. Did see a carp swiming maybe 10' off the beach maybe 24-26"

Went out to Houghtons with the little one just to get some lines wet and see if we could come up with anything. Walked down the beach to the point started with a senko no luck so I thought i would try my new scatter rap (bluegill) no luck to start but just about 710 as we were about to leave something smashed the rap. Get it to the beach and nice 14" rainbow. Not a bad way to start the season and the new scatter rap

Fished for an hour had 5 hits before I connected on the edge of the far bank with a nice largemouth. 18.5 inches and it destroyed my frog. Will be trying apot again tomorrow around dusk
