The Jarbidge River is a small, high altitude river that originates in the Jarbidge Mountains of northeastern Nevada and runs through northern Nevada and southwest Idaho in the United States. Where the west fork and east fork meet, the main stem of the Jarbidge river begins in Idaho. For approximately 28 miles (45 km) this narrow river twists and turns through a remarkable canyon, deep and rugged, but often dotted with groves of juniper trees along the banks. Very remote, this river eventually flows into the Bruneau River, then onto the Snake; therefore, it is one of very few rivers in northern Nevada that eventually empty into the Pacific Ocean.
